Tamara advises employers and individuals regarding business issues, health law and employment maters, including wage and hour issues, discrimination, retaliation and harassment, workplace policies, discipline and discharge, sick and family and medical leave and other benefits, workplace safety, severance packages and a myriad of other issues. She drafts employment agreements, non-competition covenants, employee policy manuals, and separation agreements; conducts workplace training and investigations; and handles union grievances, collective bargaining issues, and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.
She handles mediations, arbitrations and lawsuits as well as administrative charges before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Washington Human Rights Commission, Washington Department of Labor and Industries, Washington Employment Security Department, and Seattle Human Rights Department.
She represents medical practices and health care providers regarding compensation policies, licensing, hospital privileges, patient complaints, data bank reports, partner disputes, and issues involving the Washington Medical Quality Assurance Commission, Washington Department of Health and Washington Physicians Health Program.

The ability to not only understand the complex interplay among the various federal, state, and local employment laws, but also to evaluate the level of legal and business risk involved in every decision.

I work with the Sexual Violence Law Center advising clients about how to manage legal issues stemming from sexual violence.
